How to: create a new blog on your website

1. Log in to your Genius Platforms website

    https://www.yourwebsite.com/user

If you do not know your username or password to log into your website, please Submit a Ticket. Your username and password will be listed in your Accounts User/Pass sheet on your Google Drive.

2. Select Content -> Add Content -> Blog

3. Create your Blog

4. Add media

Expand the "Media" tab.  If you want a HERO image on the page, select "Add media" under Article Media.  These images should be a horizontal rectangle - 2000px wide x 800px high.  If you want a thumbnail image for the Blog, use the "Add media" button under Thumbnail.  A Thumbnail image displays a square image on the Blog listing.  These images should be 800px x 800px.

5. Add a Classification

If it is a Blog, select Blog.  If it is an Article, select Article.  The difference between a blog and an article is the difference in writing style and the length of the piece. Blogs can range anywhere from 300 to 1000 words and are a 'friendlier' writing style, whereas articles are often much longer and less casual in style.  In this step, remember to also add the category (i.e. dogs, cats, etc.) that the article or blog belongs in.

6. Hit Save!

You're done.  You will now see the Blog promoted to the front page of your website and published in the Blog section of your site.
