What is Rocketlane? 

Rocketlane is a project management tool that we use to manage all of our client projects. 


A client project typically consists of a website development component, as well as marketing platform implementation. 


Components of a Project


Within each section of the project, there are a series of tasks listed that typically get done in a specific order. These lists of tasks ensure that we stay organized and never miss a step. 


All tasks within a project also have an assignee and a due date. 


When you are assigned to a task, you will receive an email notification that will provide you with details on how to complete the task, as well as a due date for the task. 


If you have questions or comments about a task, you can also post to the chat within that task. The task chat feature helps us consolidate all communication about certain parts of our project so that nothing gets missed. 


Accessing the Customer Portal 


After our project kickoff, you’ll be invited to Rocketlane. You should receive an email notification with a “Magic Link”. This link is special to your account. Once you open your magic link once on your computer, you will be able to access Rocketlane from that device forever - unless you clear your cookies. 


If you clear your cookies, need to access Rocketlane from a new device, or otherwise have trouble getting in, you can either revisit the link in your original email - or go to geniusplatforoms.rocketlane.com and click the option to receive a new magic link. 






The Customer Portal Home Page


The Customer Portal Home page provides an overview of the tasks and approvals for the project that you have been invited to.

 



Once you’re logged in…


You will see several menu options in the lefthand menu. These are the different components of your project. 


  • Notifications - shows notifications of task that were assigned to you. 

  • Overview - shows a summary of the progress of the project.

  • Project Plan - gives you visibility on all the phases and tasks that are a part of your project

  • Lists - displays the list of all the tasks from the project

  • All Files - gives you an option to upload any necessary files, photos, logos and documents. 

  • Status Update - brief update of the project. 

  • Shared Spaces - a place where shared documents can be viewed, edited and uploaded. 



Notifications

The Notifications tab mentions all notifications, notifications of tasks that have been assigned to the you, mentions and related to all the tasks for the your team.




Overview

Displays the Project Overview page for the your project.



Project Plan

Displays the entire layout including the phases and tasks for the project that you have been added to.



List

Displays the list of all the tasks from the tasks that are assigned to you.



Status Update

Displays the Status Updates for your project.




Shared Spaces

Displays the Spaces Files for your project that you have access to view.
